Sandy Steck has been an animal photographer for the majority of her life.   It has been more recent, within the last 15 years, that Sandy has focused and honed her skills in the All Breed Dog Show rings and Race Car venues.  Dog show events that she has covered professionally include All-Breed Conformation shows, Rally, Obedience and Agility courses.

Sandy started photographing horses at a very young age in Ontario when competing in American Saddlebred and Hackney Pony events and fairs in the Ottawa Valley.  In her adult years, Sandy returned to her love for photography when she started showing her Miniature Dachshunds in All Breed Dog Shows in British Columbia.  Sandy captures your dog’s incredible movement, beautiful expression and more with her candid shots in and outside the ring.  Sandy takes pride in the skills she has acquired through experience and listening to her clients and mentors. Her photography has been published locally and internationally, including weekly e-publications in Show Scene, Canuck Dog and Canadian Dog Fancier magazine that cover all of the Canadian purebred dog events.

Sandy’s other photographic interests include horse photography and sports car racing. Some of her work in these areas will be included in the portfolio section of this site as they become available.
